Some Positivity and Humanity
If we look at human history, the times were always turbulent and difficult. There hasn’t been a period in history without humanity facing difficulties. That stayed true up to our day.
The crucial difference between the modern world and the older eras of humanity is technology. Because of technology we are aware that the world is constantly going down the drain, and we’re constantly faced with issues all over the world.
All social media algorithms are designed to recommend something that will provoke a strong emotional response.
And in this world where bad news spreads much faster than good news, and controversy is favored over compassion, little room is left for positivity.
So I thought that today I’d try and fill this niche of some positivity in these resentful times.
When getting caught up in today’s controversies and dramas, it’s easy to forget that after all, everybody involved is human. Every war, every riot, every protest, every whatever have you has people on both sides.
With so much distance between you as an observer through social media and the people on the other end of the screen, the humanity of both sides is often lost.
I’m not saying you should start agreeing with everyone or even like everyone. You don’t even have to understand the other people involved in whatever conflict bothers you. What I’m saying is to let go of any superficial resentment, for one reason only. We are all human.
Is it rational? No. Is it based on any facts? No. The only reason I’m saying to let go of any superficial resentment is that if you do that, you will find yourself being more positive. You will find some happiness in these resentful times. You will find you get along with people better.
Being resentful towards anything or anyone has never benefited either side. Relax, and take it easy, you’re human, everyone around you is human. Remember that.
